Who is Aunt Bubba?

 

My real name is Amy Ruiz Fritz. I live in Sacramento with my husband and our crazy cat, Blanca. I stream on the Twitch where I play various games. I’m still working on a set schedule while we settling into our new home. I’m a casual player and like all kinds of games from retro, mobile, to PC/Mac. Our gaming consoles include Wii, Wii U, Nintendo, Super Nintendo Classic, and Switch (coming soon!). I try to keep my streams family friendly and inclusive.

How did you get the name Aunt Bubba?

My oldest nephew named me Aunt Bubba. He was still learning/trying to speak. He didn’t really have a name for me. I was wearing a scarf that looked like his blankie, which he called a Bubba.  I was sitting next to him in the car. My sister asks him, “Who is that?” while smiling and pointing to me.  He said, “Bubba.” in such a sweet little voice and the name stuck.
